Scowerdons Just Meals
About Just Meals
Just Meals are environmentally-friendly ready meals made by Food Works in Sheffield.
Created using quality surplus and locally grown ingredients, Just Meals are frozen on site to retain flavour and quality. They also prevent further food waste by keeping fresh in your freezer until you’re ready to eat your meal.
Just Meals are a great alternative to a conventional ready meal. Each meal is packed in 100% biodegradable and home compostable packaging and can be heated in the microwave or oven at home.
Just Meals give back more to the planet than they take, closing the food sustainability loop in a convenient, tasty way.
Just Meals are available on a ‘pay what you can afford’ basis with a minimum contribution of £1.00 per meal. To keep the minimum affordable for those that need it, we ask that people who can afford to do pay more.
Just Meals are available in four categories:
Regular (contains meat normally)
Vegetarian
Gluten free
Vegan and low allergen
We cook with ever changing ingredients so the dishes created change from day-to-day.
Please note our meals are all cooked in kitchens where allergens are present, so we cannot guarantee no trace contamination. The vegan and low allergen meals do not contain ingredients with any of the 14 allergens but could have trace elements in them.
In person we will accept cash and cards (cards will incur a 50p processing fee)
where are we?

Please use the side entrance when visiting the centre for a collection, there is a green door, please knock and we will come and greet you.
Please do not enter the community centre via the main doors unless your child is attending the youth club which also runs at the same time.
A little bit about me
I have volunteered in the S12 community for the last ten years and have seen a rise in residents needing help. I wanted to be able to provide healthy nutritious meals at an affordable price hence partnering with Foodworks to offer a more sustainable food option to the area and hopefully easing some of the pressures that residents are facing.
