Some of these services are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Home care companies registered with the CQC are regularly inspected for the quality of their care. Oasis is a mental health friendly gardening and food growing enterprise supported by a local mental health charity Sheffield Flourish. As well as running regular groups they run a gardening service. Their work helps fund support for people with mental health issues. They offer the following services:

  • building fences
  • building raised beds
  • planting, pruning, weeding, mowing and more!

You may also prefer a service that allows you to save your orders so can reorder easily, or a service you can telephone instead of ordering online.

Many supermarkets offer online ordering and delivery of food shopping.

Supermarkets offer lots of online discounts, and free first delivery. All their current offers are easy to find online, and you can compare to see if there’s a cheaper choice from a different brand, or one with less fat, salt or sugar. Sainsbury's Assisted Shopping Scheme helps people who are housebound and those who can’t manage online shopping by allowing them to make shopping orders over the telephone.
