Sheffield Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service is part of Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. IAPT is an NHS adult service offering a range of free psychological therapies to over 12,000 people each year who work and/or live in Sheffield.
1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. IAPT can offer a range of local therapies that can help with stress, anxiety and depression.
The focus of this service is the integration of physical and mental health - to manage health condition and to improve mood. As well as the condition specific courses there are more generic, pain and stress control groups.
