Age UK Sheffield is an independent, local organisation dedicated to supporting older people (aged 50 years and over) in Sheffield, to help them maintain their independence and get the most out of life.
Help to maintain independent living at home for older people. The service provides up to three months of free support, maximising income levels, advocating for aids and adaptations at home, and providing links to appropriate local groups and activities.
Our information and advice service is accredited to the Advice Quality Standard. We are particular specialists in older people’s benefits advice such as Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit and Carers Allowance, and can support with any over-50s issue.
Care In Crosspool is a registered charity working in the Crosspool area with volunteers befriending mainly older people and occasionally helping with shopping or transport to appointments. Can respond to personal requests as well as those from statutory organisations.
