Gleadless Library

Monday 10am-5pm, Tuesday & Thursday closed, Wednesday & Friday 9.30am-5pm, Saturday 9.30am-12.30pm (opening times)• Every Wednesday at 10-11.30am (coffee morning, drop-in), Every Wednesday 2-3pm (Story and craft time for toddlers, term time only), 2nd Wednesday in the month 4.30-5pm (Councillor's Surgery.). Each Monday morning 10-11am there is a Knit/Craft and Natter Group, Monday afternoon there is a Russian speaking group. We now have an NHS Hearing Aid battery service. To make use of this service you need to bring your booklet yo enable your supply of batteries to be recorded.

LiveWell at Home

LiveWell at Home is a free service for anyone aged 55 or over who lives in Sheffield. Our aim is to enable older people in Sheffield to live independently in their own home. We offer a range of flexible support on anything related to housing or health, including: support following discharge from hospital; advice on how to maximise income, apply for grants and benefits, and manage debt; finding a new home, including help to move; a 17-point ‘Home Check’; mental health; loneliness and isolation, help to quit smoking and cut down on alcohol.

The Money Advice Service

Free and impartial money advice service, set up by government. The service provides: advice and guides to help improve your finances, tools and calculators to help keep track and plan ahead (including a Universal Credit helper tool), support over the phone and online (web chat). All of the services are free, confidential and hold a standard accredited by the Money Advice Service.

Sheffield City Council - Money Management Service

There is a council run service to support people who are not able to manage their own finances. We can act on the person’s behalf, by collecting their state benefits, maximising their income, making payments for bills and care charges for them. We can also handle giving the person a personal allowance and handle payment of expenditure for other items considered to be in the person’s best interests.
