The Society promotes the study of local, social and family history for those who are interested in finding out more about their forebears. When members require help, our more experienced members are always on hand and willing to provide it. The Society has a library, arranges outings to places of interest and at each monthly meeting hosts a talk of special interest.
Sheffield Bach Choir was founded in1950. Around 60 strong, under our conductor Simon Lindley, we have built a reputation for musical excellence with dynamiic performances of modern classics and Baroque masterpieces. The choir regularly performs three of Bach's major choral masterpieces: Mass in B Minor, St Matthew Passion and St John Passion as well as Handel'sMessiah every December.
