Help to maintain independent living at home for older people. The service provides up to three months of free support, maximising income levels, advocating for aids and adaptations at home, and providing links to appropriate local groups and activities.
Our information and advice service is accredited to the Advice Quality Standard. We are particular specialists in older people’s benefits advice such as Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit and Carers Allowance, and can support with any over-50s issue.
We offer a range of free advice services to help you find a way forward, whatever the problem. Citizens Advice Sheffield offers free, impartial, confidential advice in the following areas: consumer rights, debt, education, employment, housing, welfare benefits and tax credits.

A registered charity that gives preferential consideration to the ongoing needs of charitable bodies operating specifically in South Yorkshire. Also gives sympathetic consideration to requests for one-off grants from organisations in South Yorkshire to meet start-up costs, capital costs offering long-term benefits, or costs arising from unforeseen circumstances.

LiveWell at Home is a free service for anyone aged 55 or over who lives in Sheffield. Our aim is to enable older people in Sheffield to live independently in their own home. We offer a range of flexible support on anything related to housing or health, including: support following discharge from hospital; advice on how to maximise income, apply for grants and benefits, and manage debt; finding a new home, including help to move; a 17-point ‘Home Check’; mental health; loneliness and isolation, help to quit smoking and cut down on alcohol.
