Art Talks: How to Actually Understand Thing Made to Look At!

Tuesdays 23rd April-21st May 2019 (5 weeks)
A series of informal and engaging talks around art. Starting with an illustrated talk, each session will open out into a discussion around the topic.

Drop In Wheel Sessions

Every Tuesday 5.30pm to 6.30pm
An hour tutor-led session, for absolute beginners to intermediate learners to experiment and have fun throwing on the wheel. Also available to students on one of our courses who just wants some more time to practice.

Sculpture and Hand-building with Krishna Alageswaran

Tuesdays 6.30pm to 9pm, 15 January to 26 March 2019 (10 sessions, half term is Tues 19 February).
Following on from the Evening Pottery course, this class is excellent for students wanting a more in-depth introduction to sculpture or to improve on their modelling and texturing skills.

Spring/Summer Landscapes with Mark Beachell

Tuesdays 26th Feb- 26th March (5 weeks) or 4th June- 23rd July (8 weeks)
Mark will lead you through the techniques of artists such as Turner, David Hockney, the Impressionists and lesser-known local artists such as Stanley Royle. Focusing on using acrylics you will be shown how the masters worked and how to interpret these techniques into a style all of your own.

Under 5s Story and Rhyme Time - Highfield Library

Tuesdays 11.15am - 12.00pm term time only
When: Tuesdays, term time only Times: 11.15am - 1200.pm Ages: Under 5years Song, story and small craft session for children under 5 years. This is a drop-in session, no need to book.
