Advice and information
Our information and advice service is accredited to the Advice Quality Standard. We are particular specialists in older people’s benefits advice such as Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit and Carers Allowance, and can support with any over-50s issue.
We offer a range of free advice services to help you find a way forward, whatever the problem. Citizens Advice Sheffield offers free, impartial, confidential advice in the following areas: consumer rights, debt, education, employment, housing, welfare benefits and tax credits.
A National charity for families with disabled children. Provides information and support, including a full assessment to check that families are receiving the benefits they are entitled to.

LiveWell at Home is a free service for anyone aged 55 or over who lives in Sheffield. Our aim is to enable older people in Sheffield to live independently in their own home. We offer a range of flexible support on anything related to housing or health, including: support following discharge from hospital; advice on how to maximise income, apply for grants and benefits, and manage debt; finding a new home, including help to move; a 17-point ‘Home Check’; mental health; loneliness and isolation, help to quit smoking and cut down on alcohol.
Free and impartial money advice service, set up by government. The service provides: advice and guides to help improve your finances, tools and calculators to help keep track and plan ahead (including a Universal Credit helper tool), support over the phone and online (web chat). The Money Advice Service also has a comprehensive list of organisations where you can access free debt advice online, over the phone or face to face https://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/en/tools/debt-advice-locator. All of the services are free, confidential and hold a standard accredited by the Money Advice Service.
