The anxiety support group from people who've been there. Self help groups nearly every week of the year for those with anxiety, depression and low mood. Unfortunately over 18s only. A wide range of symptoms and conditions from PTSD through to social anxiety.
No Panic Sheffield is a voluntary organisation that provides twice weekly self-help support groups for people who have anxiety, depression and low mood. The groups are on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings in the city centre. The people who attend covers a wide range of symptoms and conditions. Common ones in the group are social anxiety, PTSD, OCD, GAD, agoraphobia, phobias, panic disorder, bipolar disorder and depression. The group may have members that have to care for others including long of term care, those recovering from addictions and eating disorders. The group is a forum for people to share their experiences of anxiety and coping techniques. The group has a trained volunteer facilitator. You will be provided with a range of tools and techniques to help with your anxiety. There is no need to book, and you can bring someone with you if you are not comfortable with attending on your own.
The groups are at the Quaker Meeting House, St James Street Sheffield (near the cathedral) Anyone over the age of 18 who has anxiety can attend. We ask for a voluntary donation of £3 per session, tea/coffee is 50p.
