A grassroots movement comprising people from all walks of life who are opposed to the privatisation of the NHS. We also oppose the last and current governments' austerity spending cuts to NHS Services and related services across England - inlcuding social care and other local authority services. We have been campaigning in Sheffield since January 2011. We support changes to the NHS which genuinely reflect modern developments in health and related care but not those which are merely intended to meet reduced financial allocations. We try to provide supporters with accurate and updated information about the local NHS and to tie this in with national developments. We are affiliated to the national organisations Keep Our NHS Public and Health Campaigns Together. http://www.healthcampaignstogether.com/
WE STAND FOR:
A publicly owned health service that puts people before profit!
An open, accountable and democratically run health service!
Quality, accessible health care free at the point of delivery for all
We meet on the first Monday of each month (except Bank Holidays). We hold 3 or 4 public meeting each year and organise or participate in other campaigning events related to the NHS or health issues in general. Check our website for updates and information.
