Local Studies Library

Part of Sheffield Libraries, Archives and Information. Collects, preserves and makes accessible printed material on all aspects of life in Sheffield and the surrounding area, past and present. Includes newspapers and press cuttings, maps, photographs and illustrations, printed ephemera, census and other statistics, Electoral Roll (voters lists), sound recordings, DVD and videos.

Facilities include photocopier, microfilm/microfiche reader/printers (bookable), Picture Sheffield digital picture system, VHS/DVD video viewing facilities and digital copying and research service. Picture Sheffield also available to search on internet (www.picturesheffield.com).
