an Age Better in Sheffield project funded to engage and support people aged 50 and over to take part in arts and culture events in our city.
We are a city of makers; we have invented, discovered and pioneered. We start new trends and change perspectives. Sparks seeks to embed active ageing into the mindset of Sheffield so when it comes to planning events, leisure activities and programming so that everyone’s needs, abilities and dreams are considered. We aim to engage people over 50 in curating and producing a local and city wide programme of events from gigs to theatre productions and festivals to film screenings as well as an annual Christmas Day lunch.
If you would like to take part, have an idea for an event, or would like to meet like-minded folk to go to things with - then please get in touch.
Age Better in Sheffield is a programme funded by the Big Lottery Fund and led by South Yorkshire Housing Association to reduce social isolation in people aged 50+.
