People Keeping Well - community wellbeing

There are lots of great local organisations dedicated to helping people keep healthy and well in Sheffield. They can support you:

  • to improve your health or look after yourself better, or to get involved in new activities.
  • if you’re feeling low and it’s affecting your health or stopping you going out.
  • with benefits and money problems.
  • if you’re finding it difficult to cope with a bereavement or relationship breakdown.

You can get in touch with one of these organisations today:

Age UK – covers the Dore and Totley areas.

Darnall Wellbeing – covers the Darnall, Tinsley, Acres Hill areas (and also works with other Clover Group GP Practices like Jordanthorpe, Mulberry).

Heeley City Farm – covers the Gleadless Valley, Gleadless and Heeley areas. Also helps people age 65+ in Hemsworth, Meersbrook, Arbourthorne and Highfield areas.

Heeley Development Trust – covers the Highfield, Heeley, Woodseats, Gleadless Valley areas and parts of Meersbrook.

Manor & Castle Development Trust – covers the Manor, Wybourn, Park Hill, Granville, Gleadless, Arbourthorne and Norfolk Park areas.

Reach South Sheffield – covers the Batemoor, Jordanthorpe, Lowedges, Bradway, Greenhill and Beauchief areas.

Shipshape – covers the City Centre, Broomhall, Sharrow, Beighton, Waterthorpe, Sothall and Mosborough areas.

SOAR – covers the Chapel Green, Ecclesfield, Burncross, Chapeltown, Grenoside, Southey, Fox Hill, New Parson Cross, Old Parson Cross, Southey Green, Longley, Shirecliffe, Colley, Firth Park, Shiregreen, Wincobank, Brightside, Flower, Stubbin, Brushes, Burngreave, Firvale, Abbeyfield, Firshill and Woodside areas.

South Yorkshire Housing Association – covers the Stocksbridge, Grenoside, Rural Area (rural areas to the west of the city), Bradfield, Oughtibridge and Wharncliffe Side and Worrall areas.

Woodhouse and District Community Forum – covers the Woodhouse, Beighton, Hackenthorpe, Westfield, Owlthorpe and Halfway areas.

ZEST – covers the Middlewood, Wadsley, Hillsborough, Walkley Bank, Wisewood, Woodland, Upperthorpe, Netherthorpe, Walkley, Langsett and Crookesmoor areas.
