The society has a library held at Sheffield Archives. The society organises outings and lectures regarding researching local and family history. Meets at Cemetery Road Baptist Church, S11 (Monday).


Description

Since it's beginnings the Society has been promoting the study of local, social and family history in the area, for the benefit and education of the public; help is on hand. THe Society has a library held at Sheffield Archives, and a Speaker is present at our monthly meetings:

20 January 2020 - The Great Sheffield Deer Park by David Templeman.

17 February 2020 - Antislavery Movement in Sheffield by Suzanne Bingham.

16 March 2020 - Victorian Killers - What Killed Normal Folk? by Brian Smailes.
