Greystones Preschool is an Early Years setting serving the community of Greystones. We are rated Good by Ofsted and follow the EYFS curriculum.


Healthy snacks provided. Children must bring their own packed lunch if staying for lunch. Registered for full daycare so children can stay all day. Operate a breakfast club every morning 8.00am - 8.45am (school age children) or 8.00am - 9.00 am (nursery children) at an additional charge of £5.00 including breakfast. Also registered for the 2 year old Free Early Learning places.

Greystones Pre-school is situated in the basement of the Primary school. we have an outdoor area and provide easy access for those with additional needs.

Greystones Preschool aims to support all children with additional needs. We work along side other professionals in the City. These include, the Early Years Inclusion Team, Autism Team, Speech and Language, UCAN.

We aim to provide children with the best support and follow the strategies provided by outside agencies. 

Greystones Preschool beleives that working with the Parents of those Children with additional needs is very important and provide regular meetings where Parents can discuss any concerns regarding their child's development.

Eligibility criteria for your service and any priority groups 

Greystones Preschool is an inclusive setting. All children are accepted by completing an application form. All children are then added to our waiting list.

Do you operate a waiting list? 
Waiting list details 

Children are added to the waiting list by date order and in age categories. When places become available the existing children have first refusal. After existing children have amended any times and days we then go to the waiting list once places are full for each age group in each session it is closed until the next years intake.

There are 5 practitioners on the shop floor during any session.

We have recently undretaken a series of communication training to aid practitioners deal with the increasing number of children presenting these particular issues.

Every week we produce a newsletter containing valuable information regarding the pre-school. This will include curriculumn information, what children have been doing and what areas of learning will be coming up in the following weeks. We share the book of the week and special events planned.

Parents are also involved through the parent committee.

We hold regular parents meetings once every half-term which allow parents to speak directly with thier child's key person for up-dates on learning and development progress and share any concerns or issues.
