Angram Bank Tenants and Residents Association pay for & provide services to the community.
The TARA provides free computer courses for members, run a youth club for kids 6-16 every Tuesday evening 5:30-7:30, childrens sports sessions during the school holidays.
We run a brunch morning every Wednesday morning 10:30-12pm (noon) - everyone welcome.
We run a Befriending Service for people who may be lonely and would benefit from regular visits and support.
We work with the sheltered schemes in our area, providing funding, support and advice.
We run a Homework Club for kids of any school age. Wednesday evening 5-6 pm. They can use our computers - or bring their own - take advantage of our printer, paper etc. We offer help and support for youngsters who need additional support as well as past exams papers etc. Please contact for details of venue.
The TARA arrange two coach trips a year; one to a seaside town typically during the school holidays and one to the Blackpool lights typically during the autumn term break. If you want to join us it's prices are normally £10 for members, £1 5non members. Youths (6-17 incl) £5 Kids 0-5 free.
We also act as a voice for the community by representing ours members at Parish & City Council level.
We are apolitical, non-religious & non-judgemental and seek to support everyone and any member on the estate who has an issue. That doesn't mean we don't challenge political parties or politicians. On the contrary, where there is a need to expose a party, politician or group, working to the detriment of our community we will - and do - speak out.
We hold a monthly meeting on 1st Monday of each month (1-3pm). We hold a General Meeting in December/January and an Annual General Meeting in June/July.
