The Living with Secondary Breast Cancer Programme is agroup run by Breast Cancer Care (see separate entry) for people with a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer. Members have an opportunity to talk openly with others who really understand about what it is like to live with this diagnosis.
The meetings focus on providing the opportunity for people with a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer to meet and chat once a month. Meetings include a programme of guest speakers on a wide range of issues from side effects and treatments to complementary therapies. You can choose to attend regularly or just pick and choose sessions that are of interest to you and there will be a counsellor on hand to provide support if needed. Refreshments will be provided and the longer sessions will also provide lunch.
The group is welcoming and small (up to 10 people) . Meetings are based on whatever members want to talk about that week. The group is a registered charity.
Meets in central Sheffield, (2nd Thursday in the month).
