Sheffield Young People's Substance Misuse Service
The Corner is Sheffield's young people's substance misuse service. They provide support and treatment to young people under 18 in the Sheffield area who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol. They also provide advice and information to family members and significant others who may be worried about or affected by a young person's substance misuse. They also offer group work, training for professionals and a prescribing service.
The Corner offers full assessment and treatment for substance misuse problems. It delivers group work sessions for young people which provide education and advice to prevent and reduce the harms of drugs and alcohol. It also delivers training sessions to others working with young people in Sheffield. These are available free of charge to anyone supporting young people in our city.
The Corner offers a flexible and accessible service. They accept telephone referrals from young people, family members/concerned others and professionals. They are happy to offer support at our city centre base, at client's homes or any other suitable venue.
The Corner has a prescribing service and offer prescribing treatment to young people experiencing problems with opiates. They also offer a needle exchange service and harm reduction advice to clients who are injecting drugs.
The Corner offers telephone advice and information to clients, their families and workers. Call for more information Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
