A weekly gardening group. Run by women, for women who need support with their mental health needs. It gives individuals the opportunity to spend time each week in a flower garden, contributing towards it’s growth and development, whilst having a safe space to meet new people, and learn new skills.
We offer a welcoming, weekly group that promotes positive mental and physical health for women in Sheffield. Attendees will learn gardening skills, benefit from spending time outdoors, engaging in physical exercise, and having the opportunity to spend time and connect with other women from the community. Each session is run and supported by friendly and understanding leaders and volunteers.
Session Information
During a session, women are encouraged to participate in a variety of gardening activities that suit their needs and abilities. Hot drinks and biscuits are provided throughout the session, with lots of opportunities to relax and chat with each other. Each session ends with a discussion about achievements and goals for the following weeks.
