Sheffield Mind - Central Springboard (Citywide)

Summary
Springboard is a warm and welcoming group that provides support and advice to people looking for help with their mental health issues. Staff and volunteers are on hand to advise and support service users and to signpost them to activities and services that can help them to manage more effectively.


Description

The Springboard is organised by Sheffield Mind and is run in partnership with local community organisations at five locations across the city. You can come along and have a chat about your situation and find out what support is available to help you on your recovery journey.

The Springboard offers:

  • a warm and friendly atmosphere 
  • trained Recovery Coaches to provide support and advice
  • information about other services
  • encouragement and support to try new things
  • the opportunity to try activities within the Springboard programme
  • an opportunity to make friends
  • encouragement and support to take ownership of your situation

No need to book, sessions are free and open to all 

The six venues are:

  • Sheffield Mind Wellbeing Centre 110 Sharrow Lane S11 8AL  (every Wednesday 1-4pm)
  • The Learning Zone, 320 Wordsworth Avenue S5 9NL (alternate Fridays)
  • Manor Library, Ridgeway Road S12 2SS (alternate Mondays)
  • Firvale Community Hub,  (Thursdays once a month, NB this one is women only)
  • Aspiring Communities Together, LB (Tuesdays once a month, NB this one is women only)
  • Chapel Green 82nd Chapeltown Scout Hall, Burncross Road, Sheffield, S35 1RX
