Alzheimer's Society - Singing for the Brain

Singing for the Brain is a friendly singing group for people with dementia and accompanying carers. The group is run by the Sheffield office of Alzheimer's Society. Sessions are £3.00 per person, but please contact Chloe Evans for further details.

Sessions are held at the Quaker Meeting House, S1 2EW (Wednesday afternoons).  Please contact for dates and times.

About Singing for the Brain

Singing for the Brain is based around the principles of music therapy and singing. The structured group sessions use music to encourage communication and participation, and include opportunities to talk to other people.

Each session involves a range of activities, including vocal warm-up and singing a variety of both familiar and new songs.

Newcomers are asked to attend for a minimum of three sessions, to give themselves time to become familiar with what goes on, before deciding whether it is the right service for them.
