I have worked professionally as a counsellor for over 12 years and am an accredited member of the BACP (Accred). I am confident in working with my clients to address often complex, multiple problems; specialising in mental health; anxiety, depression, panic, alcohol and drug misuse, trauma, estrangement, relationship breakdown, domestic abuse, work-related stress; childhood abuse, bereavement, self-harm, gender issues, gambling and other significant stages of life.
I feel that when we are struggling it helps to have someone alongside us; to feel acceptance, understanding, warmth and compassion, which is where counselling can really help. A central part of my counselling is around building a relationship of trust; without a fear of being shamed, judged or criticised, which is crucial to being able to comfortably open up to issues that you may be trying to avoid.
I work with both individuals and couples in the short term or long term basis, depending upon client needs.
I work from a discreet office near the centre of Sheffield and adhere to the BACP's code of ethics, regularly engaging in ongoing training and clinical supervision.
You can text, call or email me to discuss any issues free of charge, where I will gladly call you back.
