All About YOU - Adult Social Care Services aims to provide its customers with specifically tailored support and meaningful daily activities.
Daily Activities/Sessions – Our customers are involved in planning the activities week by week. Our aim is to provide our customers with a service that not only is fun but gives the opportunity to learn and develop new skills. Our customers actively choose topics/areas where they would like to develop their skills and knowledge, and we plan these into our weekly timetable. No two weeks are the same and our customers like this as it keeps the service fresh and exciting. As well as indoor activities we also offer off-site activities too; these can be visits to local places of interest, trips to the seaside, surrounding towns & villages and teaming up with other Learning Disability Services for our Annual Sports Day event. We are able to offer this kind of flexibility by keeping our group numbers small and having a high staff ratio. We offer free taster days for our Daily Activities/Sessions.
OPTIONS 1:1 & 2:1 Support – We can provide specific support to individuals that have additional support needs. This support enables the individual to have the freedom and choice to access our Daily Activities, other community projects, community based activities and sitting service. We are able to provide our customers with a team of experienced and knowledgeable support workers. It is important to us that we match the right support worker/s to our customers; we want our customers to feel safe and confident in that they are supported by someone who is caring, trustworthy, attentive, helpful and reliable.
PA Support – Our aim is to provide our customers with a totally wraparound service. As well as providing Daily Activities/Sessions that provide opportunities to build on their skills and knowledge, we can continue the individual’s personal development at home by offering support and guidance to live their lives as independently as possible. A team of dedicated and flexible Support Workers are able to support/assist/accompany our customers in all aspects of their independent life. For example: attending appointments, shopping, budgeting, travelling, holidays, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, laundry, paying bills, reading letters, visiting family and maintaining personal hygiene. It is important that we match the right support worker/s to our customers; we want them to feel safe and to trust their support worker/s, as well as feeling confident in having them in their own home and supporting them in the community.
