High Green Development Trust (HGDT)


The Trust is a charitable Society for Community Benefit, registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 with the Financial Conduct Authority, number 29681R. The Trust is organised as a multi-stakeholder cooperative, whose members, currently, are the resident groups at Paces Campus in High Green, Sheffield. The Trust is also an Exempt Charity; that is, its activities are charitable but the Trust is not required under current legislation to register with the Charity Commission.

Member organisations provide a range of services on the 4 acre campus that include a community day nursery, Blossom View Respite Home (see separate entry), PACES a DFES-approved school for children with severe disabilities, a sports centre including a dance studio, High Green Gymnastics Academy, a community cafe, a computer recycling project (see separate entry), Alive@Paces a collaborative day service for people affected by disability (see separate entry), Leaping the Void (see separate entry), and AbbeyCare (provides community care and transport) (see separate entry).

Activities held at the Trust include over 50's social club, table tennis, aerobics and keep fit, reading group, dance, disability sport group, indoor cycling and gymnastics.

HGDT aims to support its members through incubation support, sharing best practices and maintaining the campus.

Sessions are held at Paces Campus, S35 (Monday-Friday).

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (office times); 1st Tuesday in the month at 10am (committee meeting); Saturday & Sunday sports events & Car Boots 1st Sunday in the month April to October.
