We are a small local Charity run by volunteers. We aim to provide support for those on the Autistic Spectrum, for their families and friends. We also welcome any professionals or others with an interest in Autism. We run monthly support groups and other social events for our members.
This is a local Charity run by volunteers. The Society organisers are parents and carers for family members who have an Autistic Spectrum Condition. We run support groups for parents and carers of children, young people and adults with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. We also welcome all adults who have an ASC.
The Society is inclusive and aims to support any individual, of any age, who may be on the Autistic Spectrum and work towards getting the best support and services in place to help and assist individuals of all ages who are affected by ASCs.
We became a registered charity in 1993 - we are a small local charity dependent on donations to run the activities and events we offer. All organisers are volunteers.
Support groups meet monthly at Sheffield Carers Centre (3rd Wed 1230-230) for everyone; and monthly at Hallam Uni Autism Centre (last Thurs 7-9pm) for the Adult Asperger Group; and the group organises events, outings and a summer playscheme for children with autism aged 8-16 years old.
