Carterknowle and Millhouses Community Group (CKMCG)

Summary
A community group which aims to work together with statutory and voluntary bodies in the general area of Carterknowle, Millhouses and beyond to improve the environment, provide opportunities for recreation and leisure, advance education and protect health; and support and represent residents of the area in planning issues and local developments.

Description

A Newsletter goes to over 2000 households 3-4 times per year, and regular Email Bulletins are sent to those on our email list. Meetings are also held 3-4 times per year, free for all residents to attend. We also organise social events, bird-watching walks, litter-picking and tree- and flower-planting activities from time to time.

The group is free to join, but asks for donations towards group costs. Volunteers for help with administration or events welcome.
