This is an informal support group for cancer survivors and carers who have an interest in writing, reading and storytelling.
This support group was started in 2009 by cancer survivor, poet, writer, storyteller and creative arts psychotherapist Dr Debjani Chatterjee.
Members meet* on the last Sunday of each month for informal, friendly and therapeutic workshops. It is free to join. Members must be cancer survivors or carers or have lost a family member to cancer. An interest in at least one of the following: reading, writing, and storytelling, is essential. The informal workshops are mostly led by Debjani and involve a sharing of inspirational poetry and prose; occasional writing of poems, anecdotes, flash fiction, and other prose; and exchanging stories, proverbs and jokes. Refreshments are provided.
*Currently our monthly meetings are virtual ones.
