Meersbrook Park Church Operatic Society

Summary
MPCOS is a friendly operatic society, performing Gilbert and Sullivan comic operettas. No auditions required to join the chorus. Everyone from the age of 14 updates welcome.

Description

With a history of more that 90 years of musical productions, the society offers a warm welcome to singers of all ability.

Rehearsals take place on Friday evenings, 7:30pm to around 9:30pm, from September through to the show week in March. We perform Gilbert and Sullivan operettas and no auditions are required for the chorus; all that is required is a sense of fun!

Principle roles are auditioned in October and following that, additional rehearsals are provided on Tuesday evenings, 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Chorus and principle rehearsals take place at the Meersbrook Park Church and Community Centre until the time of the show, which is performed at Dronfield Civic Centre each March.

As well as performing members, we are also looking for assistance with technical and front of house roles. We look forward to meeting you!
