"Menopause is a condition which is often side-lined as just a fact of life, and not something to be taken seriously, but for many women the symptoms are extreme and can have a devastating impact on their life. Many feel anxious, confused, depressed and exhausted to the point where they are struggling to cope with daily routine." Dr Annie Evans, Menopause Specialist, Nuffield
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy. It is a way of working with a trained professional to explore and make sense of difficult feelings, behaviours and life experiences. Art therapy does not rely on talking. It uses art work and the art making process to visually communicate emotions and troubles which are too difficult to make sense of or talk about. Group sessions offer the opportunity to share experiences, gaining support and mutuality from one another.
Art therapy is not an art lesson. You don't have to be good at art to benefit. Regular attendance is important. Contact Dawn for more information and to find out if this group is right for you.
