SAYiT works with young people and professionals to make real lives better. We provide practical support around LGBT+ life, sexual health, HIV and mental wellbeing, while our training helps organisations improve knowledge and address discrimination.

SAYiT runs several projects and groups that can help young people with real day-to-day issues and give you the chance to meet other LGBT+ young people in a safe environment. We also offer one-to-ones. Our groups are a great space where you can make friends, learn new skills and be who you are without being judged.

SAYiT run three youth groups for LGBT+ or questioning young people between the ages of 11-25.

Fruitbowl -  11-17 years old (Younger & Older)

Local Offer

We warmly welcome young people with special educational needs and disabilities to our service. We have recently made a number of additions to our provision to make it more accessible, including a quiet sensory room available at our groups, staff training and changes to the structure and content of our group and website. We have a proportionately large number of young people with SEND that attend our groups and services and we are hoping to create a regular space for those with SEND specifically in the coming months.

We promote the rights of young LGBT+ people with SEND wherever we can - for example through holding conferences and through films such as this one we made recently

We recognise that young people with SEND can sometimes miss out on accessing education and support with their gender or sexual identies and we are doing everything we can to change this including offering training for SEND teachers on LGBT+ issues and delivering LGBT+ awareness directly to young people in SEND provision.

If you are a young person with SEND and are interested in receiving support with your gender or sexual identity please get in touch, we'll be really happy to hear from you.
