Description

We train, support and supervise volunteers who support young people (aged 10-17 years) and vulnerable adults (aged 18 years and over) detained in police custody or attending a police station on a voluntary basis to be interviewed by police officers, as required by the Police and Criminal Evidence (PACE) Act 1984.

Referral Details

Volunteers are required to be on-call for a minimum of 1 x 4hrs block of time (of their own choice) to be able to accept a request to attend a custody suite in Sheffield or, depending on individual circumstances (such as access to own transport), Doncaster and Barnsley.
