Beauchief Environment Group

Monitor and maintain the woodland environment of Beauchief - especially footpaths and steps - and the Beauchief Nature Park (off Beauchief Drive) for walkers, visitors, naturalists and joggers to enjoy.


The group undertakes practical work to help conserve the natural beauty of the local environment. It is open to anyone sharing interest in the natural and historic environment of Beauchief and supportive of the work done.

Work includes:  Undertaking practical conservation tasks eg path construction and maintenance, surveys of flora and fauna to monitor changes, habitat management to maintain diversity of wildlife, acts as a pressure group on matters of environmental concern.

There are also occasional social events, outings and walks. A bi-monthly Newsletter is also produced. Please contact listed telephone numbers for more information on work and membership.
