Access Space is for people interested in art, design, computers, recycling, music, electronics, photography and more, to share and develop skills and work on creative, enterprising and technical projects.

Now based at Meersbrook Hall, plans for 2022 include:

DIY repair pop-up days and other events and workshops - including digital workshops for people on the autistic spectrum.
Refab Space, the DIY FabLab for prototyping offers tools and expertise, for instance in 3D printers. This is a resource for artists, experimenters, business start-ups and the community as a whole.
Community organisers, please contact us if you wish to discuss potential projects, and if you think Access Space could be a suitable partner.

Notes

Accessible venue, open for certain events, and always open:

Wednesdays 11am-5pm for any enquiries and "Fight For Your Right To Repair" when you can bring in broken items for advice on how to fix them.

Thursdays 11am-5pm for any enquiries, and laser cutting.

In addition we open Wednesday to Friday 11am-6pm during our annual "20x20" open art exhibition, usually November to January.

We do not normally take referrals but we welcome enquiries about workshops for people on the autistic spectrum, and to discuss special needs/accessibility. We try hard to be a "Disability Confident" organisation and to make all our events available to everyone.
