Counselling is a talking therapy. It uses different techniques of encouraging you to talk about your problems help you to move to a better place. CSS is LGBT friendly and supports clients with all issues. On-line, and practice room services.


A counselling service meeting the needs of the community. The counselling is led by Ian Wainwright (Registered and Professional Accredited with the National Counselling Society). It based at Woodseats in Sheffield 8, and has a Christian ethos but is non-discriminatory in any way. The service offers counselling in practice rooms, walk and talk sessions, Skype, outreach provision and a rolling bursary (6 sessions free). This is offered through a simple application process - details of all services at

The counselling rooms are based within the church building. Access into the church is via the steps from Holmhirst Road (garden area on left). At the top of the steps there area set of brown doors. On entering there is a small information area. Signage and bell is clearly on display.

Sessions are mainly held in the evening but other sessions can be arranged. Sessions are always booked in advance.

Sessions can start from 10 am. Evenings from 6 pm. Saturday mornings also available 9 am - 10 am or 10 am - 11 am
All session last for 60 minutes (1 hour)
All sessions are 1-2-1 and are fully confidential
