By encouraging whole community involvement, Community First Yorkshire aims to empower local people and foster their input into how their local area and services are best managed.
Community First Yorkshire aims to ensure that rural issues and 'the rural voice' are heard, acknowledged and addressed by the decision and policy makers at all levels of government.
There is an annual membership charge of £35 which is open to individuals, community buildings, village halls and parish councils and allows access to help and support from Community First Yorkshire officers throughout the year.
Projects are free to be involved with and there are often small grants available.
