We believe every young person deserves a positive future regardless of their past.

Endeavour is a growing charity which focusses on the personal and academic development of disadvantaged young people. Our focus is as much on literacy and academic development as well as outdoor challenges, and we’re helping our young people negotiate the digital world as well as the physical.

We empower young people to conquer their fears, to express themselves, and to trust and respect others.

We help them to get the best from their education, unlocking their future and fulfilling their potential.

We support them to give something back; to become good citizens who can make a difference to the world around them.

Endeavour is part of the Alternative Provision Network in Sheffield, which is managed by the Progressions Team in the council. Placements on Alternative Provision can only be booked through Sheffield schools.

Boost Project South Yorkshire

Boost is a fully funded project in South Yorkshire working with young people aged 18–25 who have a mild to moderate learning difficulty. The aim of the project is to provide them with the skills, confidence and support needed to enhance their future prospects.

This is a bespoke project, tailored to the participants’ needs. Our project workers help improve personal and social development, build skills and knowledge and improve employability prospects for the future. Participants can work towards accreditations and setting up a social enterprise as part of the project.

Boost participants will work on the following three phases

Personal Development

Using outdoor adventurous activities to boost confidence, raise self esteem and increase motivation. Learn to work with others and develop interpersonal skills, problem solving, leadership, planning and organising.

Depending on the needs of the participant this phase will focus on subject areas including personal independence, employability and healthy living.

Social Action

The final phase where participants will engage with the community in various projects. They will also develop an enterprise project with support. This aims to develop their employability skills in a work place setting.
