Friends of Firth Park

A local Green Spaces group for the park in Firth Park area of Sheffield

Friends of Firth Park aims to improve the facilities and environment of the park and make sure the park serves the needs of all the community.

The group works in partnership with Sheffield City Council and has funded improvements to the football area, a youth shelter, picnic benches and table and a 'K' barrier to try and stop motorised vehicles entering and parking illegally. Improvements have been made to the multi-use games area including the installation of a practice cricket net, table tennis, increased cycle parking, seating and litter bins. The old boating lake has been filled in and landscaped and now includes a bog garden, seating and play area.

The group also supports Activity Sheffield in their activities in the park.

Meetings are held in S5 (on the 3rd Thursday of each month, except December).
