Introduction to Makaton
I have passed an enhanced Disclosure and Barring service check. I have full public liability insurance. I also hold a full, clean driving license and my car is insured for business use.
I am registered to accept Tax Free Childcare under the Government scheme. I also accept most childcare vouchers
I adore working with children and I am able to provide a safe and stimulating environment for your child/children. I plan individualised care for every child. Working with their unique interests and their age and stage of development to help them reach their full potential. I will plan activities and experiences which cover every aspect of learning included in the EYFS and I will share these with you as often as possible.
I have a purpose built playroom with direct access to an amazing outdoor play area. I have a large range of equipment and resources for creative and messy play. Aprons will be used, but please don’t send your child in their best clothes!
I have a large variety of books, toys and games for the children to play with. Reading and singing are an important part of the fun we have everyday.
I fully understand how vital it is that children get plenty of opportunity for fresh air and exercise. I have a passion for outdoor learning and strongly believe in the forest school ethos.
With your permission we will be visiting some of the following:
Woodlands and nature reserves
Childminding and toddler groups
Museums
Play centres
Parks and gardens
Farms
I have a good sized garden in which we spend a lot of time playing. I have a mud kitchen, a pebbled construction area, ride ons and sand and water play as part of continuous provision.
For my paperwork I use an online system called babysdays. Each family has their own personal login details. It is on there that you will find all my policies, procedures and contracts along with lots of other information.
Each child will also have their own learning journey file (scrap book) which will be built up during their time with me including their art work, photos and observations. These files are always available for you to look at and will be given to you when your child moves on.
I aim to provide children with a tasty, varied, healthy and balanced diet. I will use lots of fresh ingredients for meals and snacks.
I believe that food should be fun as well as healthy and together we will be growing our own fruit and vegetables and participating in lots of baking and cookery activities. Which will include (with your permission) using freshly laid and collected chicken eggs from my own feathery girls.
My normal working hours are 07.30am-5.30pm
I offer before and after school care, holiday cover and term time only contracts.
