Description

Sheffield has 80 public parks and 650 other green and open spaces, making the city a greener, cleaner and more attractive place to live, work and visit. 

City Parks: The 13 city parks, woodlands and gardens are established visitor destinations in their own right, have a citywide catchment area, and good transport links. Each site has its own individual characteristics and features. Facilities include cafes, bowling greens, five-a-side football , floodlit training areas, grass pitches, pitch and putt tennis courts. 

District Parks: The 20 District Parks generally have catchments of around 1.2 - 2km and contains a mixture of landscape features and facilities.

Playgrounds: There are over 130 children's playgrounds in Sheffield's parks and open spaces.

Walks: There are many walks around Sheffield and surrounding countryside that you can do at your leisure including the Sheffield Round Walk and Rivelin Valley Trail. Details of walking routes can be found at www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads/travel/walking
