Description

Lower Meadow Primary Academy caters for pupils from 2-11 years old. Children can join our Nursery from the term in which they have their third birthday.

The Nursery is located within our Foundation Unit. Both the Nursery and Reception children work within the Unit however they have their own dedicated teaching spaces.

We offer either morning or afternoon sessions or full days for Nursery pupils. We will try our best to accomodate your needs. We offer both 15 hour FEL and 30 hour FEL places.

Children are taught in Nursery by our Nursery teacher and a number of teaching assistants. Our staff are very nurturing and they carefully plan learning to meet individual needs. There is a strong focus on developing speaking and listening skills and helping childfren to develop friendships and play co-operatively with other children.

Children can access both our indoor and outdoor and provision and during each session they are provided with a healthy snack.

At Lower Meadow, we aim to meet the needs of all of our pupils. Experienced staff have accessed a range of training to support them in meeting a range of special needs. The Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) liaises with both parents and the class teacher to ensure that appropriate provision is in place for the pupils. The SENCO also liaises with outside agencies such as Early Years Inclusion and Speech and Language Therapy and sets up termly review meetings with parents.
