Help to maintain the beautiful Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve by assisting the Sheffield City Council Ranger Service on regular volunteer work days.
"Muck in" with the friendly team of volunteers and Sheffield City Council Rangers to help maintain this beautiful reserve for wildlife and people, whilst boosting your own physical and mental well-being. Tasks include woodland, meadow and pond management,hedge-laying, scrub clearance,litter-picking etc. All welcome, no experience necessary, just a willingness to get stuck in.
2020 dates: January - Mon 6th, Wed 8th, Sat 11th, Wed 15th. February - Mon 3rd, Wed 5th, Sat 8th, Wed 19th. March - Mon 2nd, Wed 4th, Sat 14th, Wed 18th. April - Mon 6th , Wed 15th. May - Mon 4th, Sat 9th, Wed 20th. June - Mon 1st, Sat 13th, Wed 17th. July onwards TBA. Saturdays 10 a.m. - 12, weekdays 10 a.m. - 2.30 p.m. If you would like to lend a hand, meet at the Visitor Centre, Stone Lane, Woodhouse, Sheffield S13 7BR at 10 a.m. - stay as long as you wish.
