White Rose Dyslexia Centre has gained a reputation for its well-informed specialists and excellent customer service. This is reflected in the number of recommendations from individuals, parents, private and public sector organisations. We have long-standing relationships with the NHS, Local Authorities, Police Forces and a number of schools and colleges around the region.


White Rose Dyslexia Centre was established in June 2009 and is based within Aizlewood’s Mill, close to major motorway and ring road links with easy access from around Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

We have a wealth of direct work experience and specialist expertise linked to dyslexia in education, training and the workplace. We are qualified to provide advice and support in relation to:

  • Dyslexia/Dyscalculia Screening
  • Full Diagnostic Assessments
  • Exam Access Arrangements Testing
  • Specialist Workplace Needs Assessments
  • Tuition services
  • Awareness Training

Our focus is on sharing our knowledge and expertise to not only empower those with dyslexia but also raise awareness amongst those who teach and/or work with dyslexics so that they have a greater understanding of the strengths and the challenges associated with dyslexia.

From the M1. Exit at Junction 33 and follow the A630 Sheffield Parkway towards Sheffield.  As you approach Cutlers Gate, take the A61 towards Barnsley. Follow the A61 as you cross the Wicker, and then you will view Aizlewood's Mill on your left.  Take the left turn signposted back towards Wicker and Aizlewood's Mill is on your left.  Take the first left  for the long stay staff and visitors car park and stay on Nursery Street for the short stay and disabled parking.

From Manchester/A57. Continue along the A57 as you leave the Sheffield University Buildings and head for A61 Worksop.  Follow the A61 along Corporation Street and cross the river.  Keep in the right hand lane and continue past the roundabout until you reach a right filter lane.  This allows you to U-turn back along Derek Dooley Way and then turn immediate left onto Nursery Street, signposted Wicker.  Take the first left for the long stay staff and visitors car park and stay on Nursery Street for the short stay and disabled parking.

Bus Services. Bus services 3, 8, 83a and 83 stop within one minutes walk of Aizlewood's Mill.  Many other city bound routes stop on The Wicker, within 5 minutes walk.  For further information on bus times and routes visit
