- Description: <p class="rteBlock">We offer support to anyone affected by diabetes. This includes people living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes and any other kind of diabetes linked with hyperglycaemia (too much sugar in the blood), including diabetes in pregnancy and pre-diabetes, their families, friends and carers, and health care professionals.</p> <p class="rteBlock">The Group is run by volunteers and is part of a network of local Diabetes UK Groups around the UK.</p> <p class="rteBlock">Anyone is welcome to get in touch with us, or to come to our meetings. There are no membership fees.</p> <p class="rteBlock">We organise monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month. These are open to anyone and free to attend. Each month we invite a speaker with a particular expertise to talk to us about an aspect of diabetes. </p>
