Day care service
Holistic Social Care has been an experienced provider of day services since 2014. Our organization is registered with the CQC to provide personal care, our most recent inspection was rate ‘GOOD’. Our organization is also on Sheffield City councils RPL list (Recommended Provider List). Our organization operates Monday to Sunday between 9am – 3pm (with option of evening support available). We offer a personalized approach with a wide range of inclusive and stimulating activities that allow service users to meet new friends and have a fulfilling time. We provide tailored sessions that are delivered by caring trained staff. Our center is fully equipped to look after our service users and the setting is a comfortable, safe and disable friendly provision.
We have a number of activities that we provide internally and some that are brought in externally or accessed. Some of the activities that we provide include activities such as:
We have a structured programme everyday which is heavily shaped by our service users, our service users shape the service they receive to promote independence. This gives users a sense of ownership and pride in the service they receive. We use initial care meetings with each client to learn about their interests and hobbies so we can specifically tailor the activities we offer to include something for all our clients. This ensures we keep client involvement within their own care at the forefront of our services through making it person-centred.
Our activities are tailored around the service users who are participating in the session on any given day. Although our core provision is building based, we tailor our curriculums so that there is extensive outdoor community activity everyday, this further enables our service users to access other services and facilities within the local community. We place particular emphasis on taking advantage of free activities and provisions such as museums, parks, heritage sites, and disable free activities around the city.
Our service is also sensitive to the needs of our younger users who may have more interest in activities that our older service users may not be so keen on. As such we provide special sessions for our younger service users which everyone is also welcome to join, some recent sessions were indoor rock climbing and rope climbing.
Our sessions run everyday during the week, services users will be able to participate in our group sessions where there is typically 1:4 ratio (staff : service user) or if service users have additional needs which require more support, there is the option of having 1:1 support whilst at the day service or out in the community.
Also provides an advisory service and supported living.
