At Pillar Nursing Placements, we are privileged to provide personal care and support to people living in their own homes. At Pillar Nursing Placements we offer a wide range of personalised and individually tailored flexible care services for you to choose from in the comfort of your own home.

Our core focus is on helping people to lead fulfilled, independent lives in their own homes and our Support Workers endeavour to enhance the well-being of service users through whatever opportunities and options are available.

We understand welcoming a carer into your home can be a difficult time. Knowing when to recognise the right time can be confusing for many. Regardless of whether you need someone to do light domestic task or all-day care, our skilled staff will make the transition easy for you. At Pillar Nursing Placements, we believe that maintaining and/or improving your independence and well-being is fundamental to your care and support. We also believe that this can only be achieved through dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic staff with outstanding training and professionalism.

What sets us apart is how we organise ourselves around the service users’ individual needs and desires. This means that the service user, not us, is central in determining the care package. Some of our clients may want short term help, following an illness or because their usual carer is having a break. Others may want long term homecare and support and care for a loved one at the end of their life.

Personal Care

• Assistance with dressing/undressing – getting up in the morning and preparing for bed at night
• Assistance with bathing, showering and washing
• Assistance with skin care, washing hair and cleaning teeth
• Assistance with bed bathing
• Assistance with toileting and use of incontinence aids
• Assistance with medication and health related duties, collect or return medicine from the pharmacy or GP surgery (in accordance with the details in the agreed written Care Plan)
• Waking night or Night sleepover or sitting service and day sitting services

Social Care

• Companionship, social skills, social interaction
• Reminiscing and mental awareness stimulation
• Letter writing, reading and managing correspondence
• Escorting to medical and social appointments
• Escorting to educational/employment establishments
• Participation in hobbies
• Walking and traveling
• Collect your pension for you or with you
• Shop with you or help you to make a shopping list, go to the shops, come back and put it all away
• Support you with social activities such as going out for a walk, attending a day centre, visiting friends or family, going to your church or club etc
• Assisting with an agreed programme of convalescence/rehabilitation
• Assisting with budgeting and finances
• Support to maintain tenancies
• Supported living services in general
• Give a little pampering when you need it – the occasional visit to organise bathing, clean clothes, fresh bedding and prepared meal in daytime and before bedtime
• Escorting clients to Holidays destinations in UK or Abroad

Domestic Care

• The preparation of food, shopping, cooking, washing up and menu planning
• Help with laundry or ironing and keeping your home clean and tidy
• Cleaning and general routine household tasks
• Shopping
• Laundry (including incontinence laundry)

Live in Care

At Pillar Nursing Placements we specialise in care and complex 24hr care. Live In care provides you and your loved one with 1 to1 full time support and care in the comfort of your own home. We are able to match you with an experienced and trained health care professional to meet your needs.

This is when the activities of daily living become more challenging, we at Pillar Nursing Placements are devoted to providing you with high standards of care in the comfort of your own home, allowing you to be close to your family, friends and surroundings familiar to you.

When life becomes more challenging in may ways, we are here to help, and getting the right physical and emotional support can make all the difference to you and give you and your loved ones peace of mind. It is possible for anyone to remain at home as long as they have the right kind of support.

Palliative Care/ End of life Care

End of life care is the unique quality of care that we provide to our clients at the end of their lives ensuring that they are as comfortable and pain free as possible. We  will support your family members at that difficult time. Pillar Nursing Placements seeks to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of adults with a life limiting or terminal illness, by helping them live as fully as they can for the precious time they have left. We provide end of life care to individuals suffering from cancer or any terminal illness and advanced progressive, debilitating illnesses. For people suffering from terminal illness, we aim to provide the best psychological and emotional support in the comfort of their own home.

Our services are tailored according to the needs of the individual and the duration of care is dependant on the client needs.

Pillar Nursing Placements is a Nursing Agency. We recruit nurses (RGN, RNLD, RMN) health care assistants and support workers for work in the NHS, Nursing homes, Residential homes, and the Private sector.
