Weston Park Cancer Charity is here to face cancer with you. Our services, advice, therapies and support are for you and the people close to you, helping everyone to live with and beyond cancer. All our support is free and we're here for you - every step of the way.
Our free services:
Free Transport service
Are you having cancer treatment and live in the Chesterfield, Barnsley, Rotherham or Meadowhall area? If so, our transport service could provide you free, safe travel to and from Sheffield hospitals.
The Big Purple Bus in the community
Step on board our Big Purple Bus for cancer support in your community.
Complementary therapies
Our therapies are delivered by experienced therapists, who can also offer a variety of tips and self-help techniques to enhance your physical and emotional wellbeing.

Art therapy
Our Art Therapy Course is here to nurture creativity and well-being for those affected by cancer.
Auricular acupuncture
Auricular acupuncture can help alleviate side effects such as hot flushes, night sweats and poor sleep. It is particularly effective for breast, prostate and gynaecological cancer patients who are currently undergoing hormone treatment.
Bra fitting
Do you want to feel confident, comfortable and supported after breast surgery? We host specialist bra fitting services at our Support Centre.
Children and young people’s service
Our children and young people’s service offers specialist emotional and therapeutic support for those aged 4 to 18, coping with a diagnosis in the family, or grieving the loss of a loved one.
Coffee morning
You're invited to the Weston Park Cancer Charity Coffee Morning, which takes place at The Wave, The University of Sheffield, 2 Whitham Rd, Sheffield S10 2AH, on the final Thursday of each month 10.30am -12:00.
Counselling
Counselling offers a safe place for you to talk and be listened to in a non-judgemental way.
Floristry Classes
Therapeutic flower arranging sessions, held at the Cancer Support Centre for anyone with a cancer diagnosis or going through treatment
Groups and courses
Weston Park Cancer Charity offer a range of groups and courses, taking place on a regular basis at our locations and within the local community.
Hair loss service
Weston Park Cancer Charity is proud to be working with the Self Empowered Wig Bank to offer free hair loss appointments at Weston Park Cancer Support.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is useful for people with specific phobias. These can include claustrophobia if you are undergoing radiotherapy or have a fear of needles.
Legal advice
Anyone affected by cancer can access one hour of free legal advice regarding Wills and lasting Power of Attorney, via an experienced solicitor.
Living with Prostate Cancer Course
Our Living with Prostate Cancer course is held over 3 sessions, each lasting for 2 hours, at Westfield Health in Sheffield City Centre.
Look Good Feel Better
Look Good Feel Better is a fabulous workshop for women or men undergoing or post cancer treatment.
Prostate cancer support group
It’s vital every single person affected by prostate cancer gets the support they need, where they need it. Support groups can be a fantastic source of information and informal support for men and their families.

Community Foundation
Healthy Families, Healthy Futures is a free programme of exercise sessions to support people affected by cancer and other physical or mental health conditions. Activities include walking football, chair-based exercise, badminton and seated dance.
Wellbeing Days
We believe mindfulness and wellbeing can help patients navigate the physical and emotional challenges of their cancer journey.
