Pond’s Forge boasts a spacious and well-equipped 140-station gym that boasts all the very latest fitness equipment. Whether you prefer a cardio workout, functional exercises, taking on the resistance machines, boosting strength in the free weights area or a combination of all four. Whatever your fitness goals, we’ve got what you need to take your regime to the next level.
Swimming Pools
Here at Pond’s Forge, we’ got two swimming pools. Firstly, there’s the jewel in our crown – the 50m competition pool that’s equally suited to hosting international swimming competitions as it is our award-winning swimming lessons and lane swimming. This pool can be divided into two 25m pools, too and has a moveable floor, allowing us to create a shallow end and a deep end for both 25m pools. We’ve also got a 25m leisure pool, where we also host swim lessons, alongside leisure swim sessions.
Group Exercise Studios
We’ve got two dedicated group exercise studios that offer a packed programme of classes designed to suit everyone regardless of age or fitness level. These include a suite of ever-popular Les Mills sessions, as well as bespoke Everyone Active-developed classes designed for those who want something intense, as well as those who want a more relaxing, chilled-out session.
These classes include:
Senior Strength & Conditioning
Gentle weights class for the over 50s and those returning to exercise. Light weights and bodyweight used to work all the muscle groups and core to tone, maintain and mobilize the muscles to say strong and active. A whole-body session at your own intensity that will build strength and improve conditioning.
Open to: Those aged 50 and over
Sports Hall
The 10-court sports hall is spacious and versatile, offering a wide range of sports and activities for you to enjoy. These include badminton, table tennis, netball, volleyball, basketball, football and a host of others.
