Our lunch club builds on the experience of the William Temple Lunch Club as it was run in pre-pandemic times, but is aiming to have a wider offer, with a warm home-cooked lunch at the centre of the day, and other activities to engage its members, including a range of crafts, board games, bingo and raffles, access to newspapers, talks, services etc. Members’ views and ideas will be central to the development of the lunch club: we know that each member has something to contribute and most people want to be able to offer, have a role, a purpose. The Temple Park Centre is a bright space, much used by children, young people and families, and whilst the lunch club will have sole use of the venue during its sessions, we are hoping that for its members it will be a gateway to other activities and events, that connections are made which help all build community in a safe way.
