Burton Street Foundation – Day Activities, Day Care & Day Opportunities
Burton Street Foundation, founded in 1998, in Sheffield welcomes over 2,500 visitors each week, host a kaleidoscope of events, provides jobs to around 140 individuals, and serves as a home base for 14 local businesses plus numerous charities and community groups. Spread across two sites, our four buildings, mainly in Hillsborough, have become a haven for creativity, learning, and empowerment. Our dedication to inclusivity and support for the disabled community shines through our disability services, aiding around 250 clients each week (Children and Adults).
Guided by the principles of community, compassion, and empowerment, Burton Street Foundation invites you to be part of our journey towards a more inclusive and supportive society where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
Our learning disability services are designed to suit clients with needs ranging from moderate to those with profound and multiple disabilities in the following service offers:
Building Independence
Primarily designed to help clients with higher capacity to broaden their horizons and more fully integrate into their communities within and outside of Sheffield. We do this with exciting sessions, projects and events based at Burton Street and other locations. We focus on each persons strengths and empower clients to take on new challenges to help them to overcome traditional barriers that face adults with learning disabilities everywhere. Most importantly of all, we aim to help people take control of their lives and become happier and more fulfilled individuals.
